Cheryl Salinas is a Realtor with Realty Associates working in Pearland.

What was your first job in the realty industry? A Realtor in 1999, and I’ve always been a multi-million dollar producer.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Being around people always makes me feel good. I love people. I am a very much a people person.

Where did you grow up? Pearland, Texas.

Growing up, what did you want to be? A movie star.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Barbara Walters. I feel like we share a lot of common characteristics. I find people very interesting.

Where is your favorite place to hang out? Networking organizations. Again, I love meeting different people and learning what their interests are.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? Meet-up groups I have discovered through industry functions.

What has been your greatest accomplishment? Giving back to my community and helping people less fortunate.

What is your favorite restaurant? Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Houston? The Co-Cathedral Downtown; it represents my Catholic faith.

What kind of car do you drive? A Jaguar.

What is your favorite city after Houston? Dallas.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Enjoy helping people that thought could never purchase a home and the happiness on their face at closing. It is so wonderful to walk out of closing and you know you made their dream come true.
