The National Association of Realtors (NAR) recently designated Realtor Ram King a member of the Certified International Property Specialists (CIPS), a select collection of realtors across the country who demonstrate a superior understanding of international real estate.

King, a member of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene’s Sugar Land office, said the designation will aid his work with clients in an international city such as Houston.

“The process of obtaining this designation was long and expensive, but I thought it was important because Houston is an international city and transit hub,” King said in a recent press release. “We have people moving to and from all parts of the world. It is something I wanted to do to better serve my clients.”

According to the press release, no more than 2,000 Realtors in the country boast the certification. Living in Texas, King is one of only 110 agents to have earned the designation.

The NAR develops a strict curriculum that one must complete to earn the designation, the possession of which equates to having “advanced expertise” in international real estate, the press release said.

Nikki Owen, manager of the Sugar Land office, said King is a top-notch Realtor.

“He is over-the-top enthusiastic, and his personal skills with clients are superb,” Owen said. “He embraces all the technology available in our industry, and it has greatly benefited him and his clients. He is also eager to share his knowledge with other agents in the office and to help in any way he can.”
