Houston ranked among most popular Airbnb destinations

When millions of Americans shifted to working remotely in early 2020, many took advantage of the flexibility by hitting the open roads to travel.

Since the trend of living and working from anywhere became the norm, traveling remote workers nationwide have pursued long-term lodging and destinations to fit their new lifestyle, and companies like Airbnb have benefited.

Airbnb recently analyzed booking data for long-term guests and their hosts and found that Houston is among the most popular U.S. destinations for remote workers.

The company made headlines this year for its own “Live and Work Anywhere” initiative, which allows employees to live and work anywhere in the country without a change in pay.

Here are Airbnb’s top five U.S. destinations for digital nomads:

  • Los Angeles
  • New York
  • San Francisco
  • Houston
  • Seattle
