The Institute of Real Estate Management’s (IREM) Houston Chapter will be hosting their sixth annual IREM LEED Event: A Celebration of Houston Sustainability Thursday, July 19 at Westin Memorial City located on 945 Gessner Rd.
Keynote speaker Rives Taylor, director of Sustainable Design at Gensler, will share his vision of sustainability in Houston, in addition to a special commemoration honoring local 2011 Energy Star buildings. Registration for the luncheon begins at 11 a.m., and will last through 1 p.m.
In addition to the luncheon, IREM will also host a “Learning Before Lunch: LEED Study Session” for individuals who wish to become a LEED Green Associate. The session will be hosted by Jeff Chapman, member of the Kirksey EcoServices Team. Registration fro the study session begins at 7:30 a.m., and will last through 11:30 a.m.
The luncheon costs $1,500 for a limited prime-placement reserved table for 10 with signage, or $1,0000 for a regular reserved table for 10. The LEED study session costs $100 per attendee. All payments must be made by July 12.
