Billy Bishop
Realtor Sales Associate
Bernstein Realty, Inc.

Billy Bishop became a Realtor to make a difference in people’s lives, and regardless of the size and budget of a transaction, he remains eager to connect with every customer on a personal level. Working with Bernstein Realty, and specializing in the Memorial, Spring Branch, Galleria, Heights, Washington Corridor, Oak Forest, Garden Oaks and surrounding areas, Bishop assists a variety of clients ranging from first-time homebuyers to luxury homebuyers and sellers to investors. He also services clients who are looking to purchase a new construction home or build on their own lot.

Prior to entering the real estate industry almost four years ago, Bishop was an associate director on an internal sales team for Oppenheimer & Co., Inc’s Asset Management division. After his career on Wall Street, he relocated back to his hometown in Houston to discover a new calling that would allow him to build long-term relationships with those he advises, as well as their friends and family.

This year, Bishop negotiated a five-month long short sale with a bank in order to save a client from foreclosure. “This was definitely one of the biggest accomplishments in my career,” he says. “It demonstrated my perseverance, dedication and determination to both assist my client and to negotiate items in short sales that that typically are non-negotiable with banks.” He was also able to save a client from paying over $2000 on their yearly tax bill by helping them appeal their property taxes. “Not all Realtors offer that service,” he says.

Bishop is a graduate of the Texas Realtor Leadership Program and has served on the Houston Association of Realtors Advisory Board since 2014. He is a member of the Houston, Texas and National Association of Realtors. In 2016, he was a finalist for Houston Agent Magazine’s Rookie of the Year Award. As a leader in the industry, Bishop recognizes the importance of giving back to his community. As part of his Texas Realtor Leadership Program’s legacy project, Bishop volunteers with Triumph Over Kids Cancer, aiding his fellow alums and the organization in preparing and hosting silent auctions to raise money for the cause.
