Kai Bike, Mortgage Loan Consultant

First United Mortgage Group

Delivering an enjoyable experience and superior customer service, Kai Bike knows that at its heart, the mortgage industry isn’t just about rates and programs. “Treating the borrower with dignity, respect and gratitude have been the keys to my success,” says Bike, mortgage loan consultant at First United Mortgage Group. “I am honest with my clients, whether it’s good or bad news. The earlier they know the truth, the more confident they are going forward.”

Working with clients from first-time homebuyers to seasoned buyers financing multimillion-dollar homes, Bike is readily available to answer questions no matter the time, thanks in part to his team. “Financing a home doesn’t have to be a painful process, and my goal is to put people at ease and let them know that I am by their side from start to finish,” he says, adding that he listens to his borrowers and their needs first and foremost, and then educates, so that clients feel empowered in their decisions. “I treat each borrower the same way I would want to be treated.”

For Bike, lending runs in his blood. “My father is in his 42nd year of banking and introduced me to the mortgage industry by helping me obtain my first job with GMAC Mortgage,” recalls Bike, himself a 23-year industry veteran. “My father is one of my greatest mentors. To this day, I will ask my father for advice.”

He is a member of the Breeders Greeters Committee at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and has helped with the SPARK School Park Program and Habitat for Humanity. Additionally, he is a board member of the Terrace Elementary PTA and a member of the nonprofit Cowboys 4 Heroes, a buyers’ group that purchases cattle to feed veterans and families throughout the year.

Bike loves being the favorite uncle to his nieces and nephews and enjoys saltwater fishing, golf, sailing, traveling, volunteering and playing with his chocolate lab, Duke.
