Kristy Santelia, President of Escrow and Operations

With over 40 years of combined experience, Kevin Clark and Kristy Santelia lead a team of experts at closing residential, commercial, investor, refinance and wholesale real estate transactions. Although their business has expanded to include 18 offices in Houston and Southeast Texas, making it the largest independently owned title company in the U.S., Capital Title of Texas remains true to its core values. “The moral compass of our company,” Clark relates, “is God, family and work — in that order.”

Texas-based and locally focused, Capital Title operates as a family business and a business family. Across more than 110 offices in the state of Texas, its collective commitment to excellence strives to ensure an elevated experience for customers and team members. Servant leadership is paramount at Capital Title — leadership serves customers and escrow teams; top-down management is not their style. As Santelia explains, “We empower our teams to be entrepreneurial while providing a solid foundation and encouraging and facilitating personal and professional growth.”

Clark and Santelia’s genuine desire to help others is a guiding principle in business. However, the duo also believes in having fun and celebrating successes. “The culture at Capital Title is truly second to none,” says Santelia. She adds that “we are an entrepreneurial, relationship-focused, fun-loving work family!” Clark, meanwhile, emphasizes that kindness is what separates the team from its competitors. “Always stay humble,” Clark explains. “And be kind to everyone … even the competition.”

Clark and Santelia are committed to meeting the highest standards for both their closing teams and their clients. “Being good at our job is not a satisfactory objective,” they say. “Excellent customer service is what we strive for. It is through our customers and their feedback that we get better every day.”
