Growing up watching his mother flip houses had a powerful effect on young Samuel Katz.
He realized that by putting in the necessary effort, you could find success in the real estate industry. Now, having spent the last nine years assisting clients in all facets of real estate transactions, he focuses on luxury condo buyers in the Galleria, River Oaks, West University and Heights neighborhoods, putting that knowledge to work for his clients.
His previous sales experience taught him not only how to sell, but also how to efficiently manage the sales process. In 2021, Katz surpassed the 50% pre-sales mark at The Allen, a luxury condo portion of a 6-acre mixed-use project in Houston . He considers this to have been his greatest professional accomplishment of the year.
Katz finds that having worked for a large-scale commercial leasing and property management company gives him an edge over competitors. “Having some experience in the non-residential sales side of the real estate business is extremely helpful,” he explains. “This helps me think the way the developer would think about a deal so I can better anticipate how he’ll react to the offers I’m presented.” Katz also strives to determine his clients’ goals before they meet, noting, “I like to have them prepare me. If I understand their needs before we meet, I can help them find the best space for those needs.”
When working with clients, Katz prefers a casual, low-key approach. “I can’t stand high-pressure sales tactics,” he emphasizes. “I feel it’s best to give clients honest information that helps them make an informed decision. I try to treat my clients with respect and honesty. I think they really appreciate that.”
