HomeFinder.com, a real estate search site that uses numerous search filters to allow real estate agents, prospective homebuyers and renters to quickly narrow their search, is now available as an Android app.
“We understand that home buying is becoming an increasingly mobile experience,” Doug Breaker, president and CEO of HomeFinder.com said in a statement explaining the decision to develop an app for the Android platform, adding that the app delivers “unparalleled desktop integration.”
The Basics:
The HomeFinder.com app is available on Google Play and is only 865kb, so it’s not going eat up all the memory on your phone. It also has a really simple format and quick response time which allows you to quickly navigate between search options and use the geolocation technology to quickly find nearby properties.
The Catches:
Nothing has really been reported yet, but some reviewers don’t necessarily think this app is better than other apps designed to show homes for sale by area.
The Extras:
HomeFinder.com claims it offers more search filters than any other real estate app. It also has a search function for upcoming open houses and rentals. When searching for a property, you can view pictures of the property and contact the broker with a touch of a button. The app also provides other essential details like the estimated tax and a mortgage calculator. Another useful feature lets you take notes about specific properties and save searches which automatically sync to your computer or tablet.
Overall:
The app is really handy and its clean design and quick response time make it easy to use. It has over 1,000 downloads so far and has received mostly positive reviews. One reviewer wrote “No better way to quickly see what’s available in area homes” and another said “Very nice, very informative.” Only one reviewer seemed slightly disappointed and suggested that some of the listings in different locations may have been off.
