Wood Partners, an Atlanta-based real estate company, indicated its intentions to further supplant itself in the local industry with the recent announcement that Bart Barrett would be the new director of its Houston office.
“Bart has been a key player in the Houston multifamily market for many years, and we’re thrilled to have him on board at Wood Partners,” Todd McCulloch, development director in Wood Partners’ Dallas office, said.
A graduate of Southern Methodist University, Barrett has long since established himself as a top-level real estate professional in the area, helping to bring thousands of new housing units to the Bayou City. Prior to his position with Wood Partners, Barrett worked as managing director for Alliance Residential Co., a position he held since 2011, as well as a finance and development associate at The Morgan Group and a lead analyst for Apartment Realty Advisors, among others.
Barrett is also a member of the Urban Land Institute, Houston Real Estate Council and Houston Apartment Association Developers Committee.
“I’m excited to join Wood Partners, because it’s one of the best multifamily housing companies in the country, with a great reputation and an outstanding team,” Barrett said. “Wood Partners is already well established in Houston, and I look forward to continuing to expand our presence.”
Before bringing on Barrett, Wood Partners most recently sold an apartment development project it broke ground on in 2013.
