Houston will be the No. 8 housing market for Millennial homebuyers in 2016, according to a new analysis by realtor.com.

With 26 Fortune 500 companies in the city, realtor.com cited the Bayou City’s strong economy and career opportunities for new college graduates, which continue to be among the best in the nation. Additionally, Houston’s burgeoning culinary scene earned praise, as did its Millennial population, which grew 49 percent from 2000 t0 2012; more than 14 percent of Houston’s population are Millennials.
