The average homeowner in Fort Bend County pays more than $5,137 in yearly property taxes, which is the highest in the Greater Houston area, according to a new analysis from the NAHB.

Additionally, Fort Bend County homeowners pay an average tax that is 22.6 percent of their property’s value, though tax rates range from 1.7 to 32.9 percent of the property.
