New listings on the rise in Houston

by Emily Marek

New listings are up 3.7%, according to the Houston Association of Realtors® latest Weekly Activity Snapshot.

Realtors added more new listings to the Multiple Listing Service during the week ended April 3 than they did during the same time period in 2022. Over 100 more properties were entered during that week, year over year.

Pending listings, however, still lag behind last year’s levels. Over 2,500 properties went under contract during the week ended April 3, compared to over 3,000 properties last year. Closings are also down for the thirteenth week in a row, with 19.6% less homes sold compared to the same time last spring.
