Hillwood Communities began development on Legacy, an 805-acre master-planned community in League City.

Located east of FM 528 and south of South Friendswood Drive, Legacy is projected to contain 1,630 homes upon completion. Approximately 510 lots will be delivered in the first phase of development in early 2025.

“This will be our signature lifestyle community, where amenities, community design and lifestyle programming come together to deliver a highly engaging way of life,” said Hillwood General Manager Russel Bynum in a press release. “The overall master plan provides activated spaces for community, recreation and fitness and wellness spread through the community in a way that encourages residents to explore their entire community, finding their favorite areas for relaxation, exercise and more.”

Future plans for Legacy include The Homestead, a modern ranch-themed amenity complex, as well as numerous kayak and paddleboard launches along the 60 acres of waterways found throughout the community.
