The average listing price of a single-family home rose 3.2% in May, according to the latest First Real Estate Snapshot of Houston (FRESH) Report from the Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR).

A year ago, the average listing price in Houston was $441,748. In May 2024, it increased to $456,026.

Meanwhile, new listings rose 21.4% year over year with 15,428 properties added to the market during the month. Those new listings contributed to an ample supply of active inventory — with 28,374 total properties on the market, inventory increased by 42.9% annually.
