New listings in Houston jumped 23.3% year over year in the week ended Aug. 12, according to the Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR). 

Realtors added 3,647 properties to the MLS, up from 2,959 properties during the same week in 2023. Pending listings, meanwhile, dipped 4% to 2,076. 

Closed home sales fell 13% year over year, sliding to 1,434 from 1,649 a year earlier.  

Listing views on HAR.com fell 10.3% to 7,215,360, while showings continued to trail 2023 volumes, sliding 5.2% from a year earlier to 37,622.
