New listings in Houston during the week ended Sept. 23 continued to run ahead of those placed a year ago, jumping 21.9% on an annual basis, according to the latest Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS®.

Realtors added 3,517 properties to the MLS, up from 2,885 properties during the same week in 2023. Pending listings rose 8% to 2,047 from 1,895.

Closed home sales slid 3.1% year over year to 1,580 from 1,631 a year earlier.

Listing views on HAR.com popped 19.8% to 9,507,117, while showings were up 1%, at 34,238.
