Highland Homes has started preselling homes at Grange, a new master-planned community by Johnson Development in Katy. It’s located at Morton Road and FM 2855.

The builder is offering 13 floor plans that are priced from the $600,000s and designed for 60-foot lots. The one- and two-story designs range from 2,700 to 3,900 square feet and offer three to six bedrooms and three to five full baths.

“We’ve been pushing hard for this day, so it’s exciting to see home sales begin,” said Jacob Rice, vice president and general manager. “This is just the beginning of what will be a new take on small-town living in the vibrant Katy area.”

Work is also expected to begin soon on the Clark Condon-designed Henley Park, the first of several parks in the community. The one-acre park will feature a playground, covered pavilion and lawn for resident events planned by a lifestyle director. It is expected to open by next summer.

At full build-out, the 1,130-acre community will have approximately 2,400 homes, as well as lakes and green space. The initial phase will have 301 homesites. Students will attend schools in the Katy Independent School District.

Other builders in Grange — including Chesmar Homes, David Weekley Homes, Drees Custom Homes, Newmark Homes, Perry Homes and Westin Homes — are expected to begin sales soon.
