Fall Giving Drive raises $85K for Houston charitable organizations

by Lindsey Wells

Houston area master-planned communities Bridgeland and The Woodlands Hills have raised over $85,000 for five local nonprofits through the Howard Hughes Corporation’s annual Fall Giving Drive.

While home buyers played a significant role in the drive, 100% of the builders in Bridgeland and The Woodlands Hills, along with various Realtor partners, donated to the following charities:

• Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

• Operation FINALLY HOME

• Montgomery County Food Bank

• Cy-Fair Educational Foundation

• Willis ISD Education Foundation

“There are many positive impacts of the Fall Giving Drive, which provides residents the opportunity to make an investment in their community the moment they purchase a home through the funds donated on their behalf,” said Heath Melton, president of the Phoenix region for Howard Hughes, in a press release. “Our hope is that home buyers and their families will be inspired to continue to pay it forward and choose to volunteer or support any of the worthy nonprofits that serve our community. A big ‘thank you’ goes to all those involved in the Fall Giving Drive, whose support will help countless people.”
