Realtor.
Where did you grow up?
In Germany.
What is your favorite free-time activity?
I play tennis.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
Sit in my backyard and try to read a book.
Growing up, what did you want to be?
I wanted to be in advertising. I studied advertising and marketing and worked 15 years in the industry.
If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
Walter Gropius, founder of the German Bauhaus School of Design; I am very inspired by his work in architecture and design.
Where is your favorite place to hang out?
On the beach.
What do you love most about the industry?
Every deal is so different. You get to meet so many interesting and great people.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
I started in real estate 2008 after my divorce. I went to many extra classes and earned lots of extra designations. I also made my brokers license this year. I work 24/7, and my clients can trust me that I get the best deal for them.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Working with other Realtors who have no clue what they are doing!
Where do you go to network and meet new clients?
I network in the German community and most of my new clients come through the Internet.
What has been your greatest accomplishment?
Being only five years in the business and fully supporting my two children as a single mom.
What was the last good movie you saw or book you read?
“Fifty Shades of Grey” … LOL.
What is your favorite restaurant?
Azuma on the Lake in Sugar Land.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Houston?
I love the ultra modern townhomes inside the Loop.
What kind of car do you drive?
A Kia Soul, the “hamster car.”
Smartphone or paper?
iPhone and notebook.
What is your favorite city after Houston?
Hamburg, Germany.
What is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Work hard and full-time; you have to make the first move to get business; don’t wait on the phone to ring by itself.
