What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
I sold parts and equipment for the oil industry.

Where did you grow up?
Colombia, South America

Growing up, what did you want to be?
I wanted to study business administration.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
Listen to music, meditate or take a walk.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
Wayne Dyer. He was very inspirational, and his teachings and books keep inspiring me to believe in me and to always keep a positive attitude.

What is Houston’s best kept secret?
The green outdoor spaces. People that don’t live in Houston have no idea of all the parks we have and all the outdoor opportunities.

What do you love most about the industry?
Our home is the most important place for us, a sanctuary where we can escape the hustle and unwind with loved ones. I feel honored to help families find this perfect space.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Buying or selling a home is very stressful, and recognizing this is crucial. By staying attuned to my clients’ needs, I can maintain focus and direction.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Stay in touch with your past clients and build relationships with your peers in other parts of the country.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to?
I read to learn, be inspired and grow. I actually listen to books. I highly recommend “Atomic Habits” by James Clear.

What’s your favorite meal in Houston?
My favorite meal is beef tacos al carbon at Lupe’s Tortilla

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Houston?
TC Energy Center, previously the Bank of America Center.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
I showed the wrong house to a client and the dog got out. We had to chase it for half an hour until we were able to get it back home.

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I’m very shy.

What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
The beach. The sound of the waves and the breeze gives me a sense of peace.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Take the time to learn. Find a mentor.

My colleagues from Sotheby’s. I have learned a lot from them.
