What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
Opening up and managing different luxury high rises in Houston, like the Carter Montrose.

Growing up, what did you want to be?
A lawyer, because John Grisham novels were big then and I thought to defend an innocent client was heroic.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
Anything fitness or outdoors. Lifting, running, biking, yoga, hiking and meditation.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
Socrates because we both like to question to understand the world and learn.
What is Houston’s best kept secret?
Everyone says diversity and food, and while that is our strength I also love the parks and the interconnected bike trails. You can get from the Heights to Downtown to East Downtown to River Oaks safely all in one day.
What do you love most about the industry?
That you get what you put in. It allows a person to take real ownership and agency of their success.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
The amount of driving it takes to show homes in a large metro area like Houston. I go where the people are!
What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
For me, it’s always been referrals and building a brand on social media. It’s cliche, but it works.
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to?
Everything from the “Game of Thrones” universe. Great storytelling with some brutal lessons of power struggles.
What’s your favorite meal in Houston?
I have gone through all the culinary scenes and I’m most interested in the complex flavors of Indian food lately. Specifically a meal at Musaafer.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Houston?
I think the Menil Museum building because it was ahead of its time. I also love the timeless Art Deco facade of City Hall.
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
Showed a home that had what appeared to be playground equipment indoors. Let’s just say it was not for kids.
What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I have a passion for music. I have been in multiple choirs including a show choir (that means we dance). As well as played the bass clarinet. Music keeps me going every day.
What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
Lately, Telluride, Colorado. I am really in love with ski resorts and the connection to the mountains.
In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Don’t compare yourself to others. Find your superpower.
Who are your favorite people to follow on social media?
Fitness and design influencers. There is so much you can learn that helps me advance my skills. For real estate, I like Atlanta realtor Glennda Baker. There is a true authenticity with her conversations. I also enjoy Barbara Cocoran. I guess I adore strong women.
