Home seller incentives became quite common during the down years, but are they still common in 2013?
During the months following the housing downturn in 2008, homebuyers found themselves in a interesting position – they were in charge. With a glut of properties on the marketplace and prices falling fast, home sellers were desperate for homebuyers, who in turn were able to demand not only the terms of the deal, but often, the seller’s incentives as well.
The last couple years, though, the housing market has taken a definite turn for the better, and we’re no longer in a buyer’s market; so with that in mind, how common are home seller incentives? And what incentives, generally, appeal to homebuyers the most often?
