When we think luxury, we generally think “BIG,” but a new survey shows that bigger it not always better with luxury homebuyers.
You hear the words “luxury home,” and many things come to mind – high-end finishings, exclusive neighborhoods and top-of-the-line appliances, for instance – but arguably, the big constant among “luxury home” is size, and how the affluent generally live in larger homes.
However, is size really the be-all and end-all for luxury homebuyers? A very interesting new survey from Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate (BHGRE) suggests that is not the case. In its survey, BHGRE found that there were a number of features and amenities for which luxury consumers would gladly sacrifice 1,000 square feet of living space.
