Home improvement projects are often pegged as one of the grandest reasons for owning a home – that by punching a property and gradually improving upon its features in creative ways, you add to the home’s value and boost your returns when you choose to sell.
However, as Houzz recently uncovered in its latest survey of homeowners (a massive study of renovation activity that sampled more than 100,000 respondents across the U.S.), there are other reasons that motivate homeowners to take on home improvement projects, and many have unique regional differences.
