D.R. Horton, the largest homebuilding company in the nation, recently announced that its headquarters is moving from Fort Worth to Arlington.
On six acres along Interstate 30, D.R. Horton will construct 150,000 square feet of office space for the new headquarters.
Over the last 12-month period that ended in June, D.R. Horton built houses in 27 states and sold 34,684 homes. In the past quarter, Horton’s closed sales increased 28 percent to 9,856 homes from 7,676 homes in the prior year quarter.
When the third fiscal quarter ended on June 30, Horton’s net income increased 96 percent to $221.4 million.
