The Houston Association of REALTORS® Weekly Activity Snapshot shows a slight year-over-year increase in new listings for the week ended Dec. 5.

During the week, Realtors entered 2,361 properties into the Multiple Listing Service, a slight increase from the 2,297 properties entered the same week in 2021. However, pending listings continued to lag behind 2021 levels, with 30.3% less properties going under contract.

Closings also fall behind 2021 levels for the 26th week in a row. Only 1,731 home sales were closed during the week, a 36.3% decrease from the 2,717 closed the same week in 2021.
