Prominent Houston builder Newmark Homes has gained homesites in Elyson, a master-planned community in Katy. Homes from Newmark are now in 12 Houston-area communities.
“We are very excited about Elyson, which has a terrific location and is served by Katy ISD,” said Newmark Homes President Jeff Dye. “Plus, our homes will be near new community amenities, so our homeowners will be able to walk to the pool, tennis courts and pickleball courts.”
The homes on Newmark’s 70-foot lots in Elyson will range in size from 3,200 to 4,200 square feet. Pricing has not been announced.
In addition to this acquisition, Newmark has opened a number of model homes in other communities in the greater Houston area. Recent debuts include models in Towne Lake, Harvest Green, Fulbrook on Fulshear Creek, Bridgeland, Cross Creek West, Cross Creek Ranch and Sienna.
“There has been talk of builders slowing down in the current housing market, but we have been forging ahead, opening in new communities and expanding our presence in existing communities,” Dye continued. “Yes, the market has changed from a year ago, but there is still demand for new homes in well-developed communities.”
