Texas is the most attractive state to out-of-state buyers in the United States, according to a report from Mover DB.
The moving data website analyzed online searches for properties across the country to determine the most popular potential relocation spots — and Texas was the most popular state. There were more property searches for Texas homes than for any other state.
Data showed that residents in 17 states — mostly on the West Coast — are especially interested in moving to Texas. All these states put Texas at the very top of their wish list: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah and Washington. Overall, Californians did the most online searching for Texas properties.
After Texas, Florida came in a close second for potential homebuyers. Meanwhile, the most sought-after relocation state for Texans is Oklahoma.
