New listings continue to surpass 2022 volumes, according to the Houston Association of REALTORS® Weekly Activity Snapshot for the week ended Dec. 4.

Realtors entered 2,782 properties into the MLS during the week, a 23.4% increase year over year. Meanwhile, new listings were up 89.1% from the same week in December 2022, when only 1,471 properties joined the market.

Closings also rose above last year’s volumes, with just over 2,000 properties sold during the week. That’s a 15.8% increase year over year.

Pending listings, however, declined by 4.7%.
