New listings towered over 2023 volumes in the first week of 2024, according to the latest Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS®.

Realtors entered 3,022 new listings into the MLS during the week, a 21.5% increase year over year. Pending listings also increased by 2.2% year over year, with 1,663 homes going under contract.

Home sales also started the year on a positive note: closings jumped 20.1%, with 1,354 sales compared to 1,127 during the same week in 2023.
