What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
I was a full-time portrait photographer prior to getting my license.

Where did you grow up?
Born and raised in Alvin, Texas. Lived in Galveston County for more than 20 years.

Growing up, what did you want to be?
I wanted to be an attorney.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
I love to run and do anything outdoors.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
Amelia Earhart. She remains a symbol of the power and perseverance of women, inspiring many to break gender barriers in various fields.

What is Houston’s best kept secret?
Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern

What do you love most about the industry?
I love helping people achieve their goals of home ownership, whether that be their first home or starting an investment portfolio.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Time management. You have to be very vigilant in this industry to use your time wisely and time block to be productive and maintain a work/life balance.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Be consistent with your social media and checking in with your SOI.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to?
I am on a trend of creating better habits and have been reading Atomic Habits (if you haven’t read it, you need to).

What’s your favorite meal in Houston?
Anything from State of Grace

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Houston?
Pennzoil Place

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
I was touring a home that stated they had no pets and was surprisingly attacked by a black cat. I am careful wearing open-toed shoes now.

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I was homeschooled through all grades until college.

What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
I love the East Coast, Maine in particular. It is so beautiful, especially during the fall. I also love lighthouses and am working on visiting them all.

Have a mentor and hustle hard — it will pay off.
