Twelve Houston-area master-planned communities ranked among the country’s 50 top-selling MPCs in the first half of 2025, according to the Mid-2025 Sales Top 50 from RCLCO Real Estate Consulting.
Sunterra, a Katy master-planned community from Land Tejas and Starwood Land, was the top-selling MPC in the area — and in Texas — with 543 new-home sales from January through June. Although that was a 30% year-over-year decrease from the first half of 2024, Sunterra still ranked as the MPC with the fourth-most sales nationwide.
Also high on the list were two more Katy MPCs: Tamarron from D.R. Horton at No. 9, with 510 sales (up 15% year over year) and Anniston from Friendswood Development Company at No. 11, with 476 sales (2025 marks the MPC’s first year of sales).
Other Houston MPCs in the top 50 were Bridgeland at No. 14 (438 sales), The Grand Prairie at No. 21 (299 sales), Meridiana at No. 25 (277 sales), Tavola at No. 31 (248 sales), Lago Mar at No. 34 (238 sales), Sienna at No. 36 (227 sales), Elyson at No. 37 (217 sales) and Cypress Green at No. 47 (193 sales).
Home sales in Houston-area MPCs accounted for 22% of the top 50-ranked MPC sales in the first half of 2025.
