September was a positive month for Houston’s residential construction sector, which continues to outpace nearly every other metro area.
Though residential construction in Houston faltered a bit in September, the Bayou City still has one of the strongest markets in the nation, according to numbers that McGraw Hill Construction provided us.
Residential construction in Houston totaled more than $591 million in September, 4 percent decline from last year; but still, the year-to-date total, thus far, comes out to roughly $6.28 billion, and only New York City has posted higher construction totals.
