Agent Snapshot: Amy Bunyard, Realtor Associate, Keller Williams Realty Professionals, Cypress

Amy-Bunyard

Amy Bunyard is a Realtor associate with Keller Williams Realty Professionals working in Cypress.

What was your first job in the realty industry? Realtor associate at All Star Texas Realty in Huntsville, TX.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?Reading, fishing, walking and listening to my downloaded music.

Where did you grow up? North Channel area, Houston, TX.

Growing up, what did you want to be? A ballerina, but ended up becoming a Texas peace officer and a Texas Realtor.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Zig Ziglar because of his wisdom and motivation.

Where is your favorite place to hang out? At the lake…any lake will do…or our property.

What do you love most about the industry? Meeting new people and cultivating the relationships with them into forever clients and friends.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I would like to think I am someone people can come to when they need a friend, not just a real estate agent. I believe in telling the truth, no matter how bad it could be, and not paint a fairy tale – and not just regarding real estate transactions.

I want to be THE Realtor/broker of choice for first-responders and military personnel by offering them the best, most up to date information and products when buying or selling property.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Being outgoing. I am a reserved person. However, once I get to know someone, I become more comfortable. I am not one to walk up to a stranger and strike up a conversation. That is the hardest thing I have had to learn to do.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? Community gatherings, activities, walking trails and local businesses that I support and/or frequent.

What has been you greatest accomplishment? Raising our son to become a respectful young man, and getting my Texas peace officer license and my Texas real estate salesperson license. Ultimately, I will get my Texas broker’s license…in due time.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? The Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon.

What is your favorite restaurant? Pappasito’s.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Houston? Williams Tower, formally Transco Tower.

What kind of car do you drive? Toyota Venza cross-over.

Smartphone or paper? iPhone 5S and iPad – can’t live without EITHER!

What is your favorite city after Houston? San Francisco for the history and old buildings. Atlanta for the suburbs – Decatur, GA specifically. Miami for the Florida fishing and beaches.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Be yourself. Be real, not fake. Be confident.

What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app? HAR.

Who are your favorite people to follow on Twitter? Joanna Gaines @TheMagnoliaMom because I would love to be like her…she is so inspiring!
The Property Brothers@PropertyBrother – they work miracles…
Jillian Michaels@JillianMichaels…she is such an inspiring person when it comes to fitness.
