James Krueger, the owner of K Real Estate, and Realtors Erin McKie and Skyler Tran, came to the industry in search of fulfillment, and it didn’t take long for all three of them to fall in love with their career. K Real Estate serves the Greater Houston area, specializing in the Inner Loop, and working with clients ranging from first-time homebuyers to those selling their current properties and looking to move elsewhere.
K Real Estate’s people-first philosophy extends beyond the walls of the office thanks to Krueger’s efforts to invest in agents and create a brokerage that prioritizes customer service and sets higher standards for client-centric, individualized treatment. “K Real Estate was created with a unique brokerage model and strategy that’s quite different than most,” Krueger says. “I think outside the box when it comes to personalizing the real estate process. I thrive on zigging where others zag, and our consistent growth proves that to be the discerning difference.”
Since 2014, the company has expanded to more than 40 agents, and during the past year they have achieved sales of $119 million and are aiming for $180 million this year. Both McKie and Tran have been fundamental to that success, exerting themselves in order to close deals while forging strong personal connections with their clients. “My clients know that they can reach me any time of the day, and they can feel assured that I’ll listen to them thoroughly and do everything I can to ensure their experience is exactly what they’re hoping for,” McKie says. “Whether they’re interested in seeing five more homes that day or moving things in a different direction, my clients can always count on me to be flexible, tenacious and eager to help.”
Tran is equally persistent, meeting the competitive industry head-on and doing whatever he can to overcome its unpredictability. “I put in many hours at the office drumming up new business through targeted marketing and cold calling, and spend lots of Sundays hosting open houses for my colleagues’ listings,” he says. “I’d say my hard work and dedication has certainly come to fruition as last year. I closed $6.1 million in sales and I’m on pace to surpass that number this year.”
Krueger, McKie and Tran are all members of the Houston Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors and the Texas Real Estate Political Action Committee. They also serve as active volunteers within the community, an extension of K Real Estate’s commitment to giving back.
