Barbara DiBlasi Marlin of Prudential Gary Greene Realtors, will serve a 2012 as president of the Women’s Council of Realtors (WCR) Fort Bend chapter. She will serve a one-year term and will be responsible for presiding over monthly board and business resource meetings.
Marlin has been a member of WCR for the past five years and has held positions of membership chair, vice-president of membership, and president-elect. Marlin has been a Realtor for six years.
“I am so pleased for Barbara’s success with WCR,” said Nikki Owen, manager of Prudential Gary Greene’s Sugarland office. “This organization continues to grow, and I know that with her leadership it will continue that growth. The quality of the monthly speakers is something that all members value, and Barbara has an impressive speaker roster for 2012.”
WCR is a nationwide organization with over 12,000 real estate professionals as members. WCR is headquartered in Chicago, IL and is an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors.
“Barbara’s dedication to WCR mirrors her dedication to her clients. She is a problem solver who will go beyond the extra mile to make it right and makes sure it is seamless for all parties. She is admired by all in our office, and I know she garners the same from her clients and peers,” said Marlin.
The Ft. Bend Chapter of WCR gives back to the community by collecting professional clothing for the Fort Bend Women’s Center, prom dresses for the Cinderella/Cinderfella organization, and school supplies for the children residing at the Women’s Center.
WCR also provides educational programs and often holds fundraisers to help pay for the education of members and benefit the Fort Bend Women’s Center.
