Jeff Wagner became a mortgage banker to control his own destiny. As a partner and the vice president of Sales and Support at OneTrust Home Loans, he helps clients in Houston and the surrounding areas create the future they want in the home of their dreams. Working with Realtors, builders and customers looking to purchase, refinance, invest or cash out a mortgage, Wagner is ranked No. 1 in sales and production at OneTrust Home Loans, as well as among the top 1 percent in the country by production.

In 2017, after 11 years in the industry, Wagner became an equity partner of the firm and started the Houston Elite Real Estate Group (HERG), a community comprised of the city’s top Realtors, builders and business executives and designed to facilitate new connections through monthly events.

Prior to becoming a mortgage professional, Wagner worked as a vice president of sales for 12 years in the advertising industry, playing an integral role in taking a major sunglass company public. Throughout his career, he’s prioritized customer service, putting his clients’ satisfaction first. “I am a firm believer in being a giver and not a taker,” he says. “I always pick up the phone and never hide behind emails or texts, and I treat all customers as if they were part of my family.”

Wagner supports the Houston Food Bank and enjoys entertaining both professionally and personally. As a husband and father of two daughters, he strives to lead by example and be a positive role model both at home and at the office.
