Emily Wilcox
Team Leader, The Blake Wilcox Group
Better Homes and Gardens Gary Greene
Selling the boutique brokerage that she and her husband, Blake, founded four years ago was the highlight of 2018 for Emily Wilcox, and the end of an era both personally and professionally. But it was also the start of a grand adventure with new owner Better Homes and Gardens Gary Greene.
“For me, that sale is a compilation of our impact in our market and our sales strength,” says Wilcox, now team leader of The Blake Wilcox Group at Better Homes and Garden Gary Greene. Since 2016, she has maintained her statuses of Top Selling Agent and 7 Star Broker Agent Advisor with the company. Wilcox primarily assists buyers, sellers and luxury clients, but she also works directly with custom homebuilders to sell new construction. Even though she has only been in real estate for a few years, she has accomplished a lot and loves sharing her knowledge with others.
Wilcox has also extended her own learning through the Graduate Realtor Institute and by becoming a Certified Home Marketing Specialist and an Accredited Home Luxury Specialist. Active in the community, she is a member of The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce, the Junior League of The Woodlands, the Church of Woodforest and Give Thanks, a nonprofit she and Blake founded five years ago to benefit StoneBridge Food Pantry. Give Thanks raises funds by hosting food drives, a golf tournament, auctions and other events. “Last year we raised over $80,000 and collected 8.3 tons of food,” Wilcox says.
Real estate is about helping others and marketing creatively for Wilcox, all while maintaining an even keel. “When most people get fired up, I am able to take a step back and see the most strategic way of working through a problem without clouding emotions that are very real with such a big purchase,” she says.
