Laurie Ford
President
Fidelity National Title’s Houston Division
With 35 years of experience, Laurie Ford, president of Fidelity National Title Houston Division, thrives in an environment where people are working hard and having fun at the same time. “I do just about everything with a smile or a laugh,” says Ford. “Our business is so serious and there are a lot of moving parts, but I think having a cheerful demeanor helps everyone around me.”
Serving commercial and residential clients — including investors, bankers, developers and Realtors — Ford applies her firsthand knowledge of all facets of the industry to attend to each client’s unique needs as well as act as a mentor for her team. “I like people to understand that in my business plan each year, I write these words: ‘highest standard of conduct,’ ‘customer-oriented and motivated,’ and ‘bias for action,’” she explains. “These three statements are part of the FNF company principles, and they really do sum up my professional purpose.”
As part of the largest title company in the country and the daughter of a title insurance business owner, Ford has both a personal and professional connection to her work and is inspired by the people around her and the opportunity to make dreams come true.
This year, she was invited to participate in Fidelity National Financial’s Chairman’s Roundtable and was included among Houston Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business. She is a member of the Texas Land Title Association, Houston Association of Realtors, and AREAA-Houston and supports the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and American Cancer Society.
Ford is married to her husband, Shannon, and strives to make a positive impact on her children and grandchildren.
