Shirmel Gumbs-Heyliger is a U.S. Army veteran and award-winning Realtor. In just under five years, Gumbs-Heyliger has closed over $45 million as a solo agent and has won numerous awards, including being recognized among the Houston Association of Realtors’ Young Professional Network 20 under 40 cohort, among the Top 20 Black Real Estate Professionals by the Houston Black Real Estate Association, and twice as a finalist for Houston’s Best PRISM Realtor of the Year award by the Greater Houston Builder Association.
Raised in St. Croix, USVI, Gumbs-Heyliger moved with her husband and three sons to Houston in 2012. She fell in love with the city’s diversity and thriving culture. In 2020, during the pandemic, she established a scholarship fund for high school seniors in the Humble Independent School District. Besides assisting her clients, she supports several local charities and loves spending time outdoors, cooking and traveling with family.
