In the first part in our series on the most valuable local school districts based on an analysis by realtor.com, we looked at home price premiums in Harris County. In this edition, we check out Galveston County, where Friendswood ISD took the top spot.
Homes in the Friendswood ISD have a median list price of $465,000, well over the county’s median of $269,000. The 173-percent premium reflects a storied trend of parents paying more for top-rated schools. The second most valuable district is Hitchcock, where homes list at $350,000.
