Compass Real Estate’s Houston agents have launched a new charitable campaign to support Feed the Front Line, a non-profit organization that helps local Houston restaurants and their employees as they work to keep their doors open while providing healthcare workers and first responders with fresh, nutritious meals.

At press time, “Blue Ribbons for COMPASS-ion” had already raised more than $27,000 through the purchase of 6,000 ribbons, which they delivered to their clients and friends last Friday to hang on trees in their front yards.

“Compass’ agents in Houston have been looking for something meaningful we could do as a group since we are stronger and can make a bigger impact together,” said Compass agent Lee Kaplan in a press release. “We chose to support Feed the Front Line because it allows us to support so many important groups, including our local restaurants as well as our frontline professionals who are selflessly giving of their talents to provide care. Compass agents are planning to cover Houston’s trees with thousands of blue ribbons as a show of gratitude to our healthcare workers and first responders.”

Compass’ Houston agents hope to encourage donations from their clients and others in the community to adorn their homes with more than 2,500 additional blue ribbons. Compass’ initial donation will help feed more than 2,750 healthcare workers and offer $27,500 in business to Houston’s local restaurants.

Since launching in mid-March, Feed the Front Line has delivered more than 28,000 meals in Texas in partnership with 72 local restaurants and 10 local hospitals. 100% of the money raised by Feed the Front Line goes towards the purchase of meals with more than $225,000 raised for Texas restaurants.

“Raising funds and showcasing our appreciation for our frontline workers was of the utmost importance to our Compass family of agents in Houston who were all looking to really make an impact in our Houston community,” added Compass agent Carol Rowley in the press release. “Compass’ Houston agents and their clients will be blanketing Houston in blue ribbons to showcase this love and with the hope that it will encourage our neighbors to do the same. For that reason, we’re hoping others in our community will join us in donating to Feed the Front Line through the purchase of their own blue ribbon.”

To encourage community participation, Compass will continue to collect donations for Feed the Front Line and allow Houstonians to purchase blue ribbons for their front yard by making a donation here: https://ftflhouston.square.site/compass-donation-program
