It’s been a big year for Larry Johnson, Founder and CEO of Johnson Development Corp., who received the 2021 Legends Award for his decades of developing first-class communities.

The honor also has landed Johnson, one of Houston’s largest residential real estate developers, a feature spot in the October issue of Builder Magazine, where he discusses everything from his childhood on a farm on the windy plains of the Texas Panhandle to his latest development, the 1,300-acre Harvest Green community in Richmond, Texas.

Johnson specializes in communities spanning 2,000-3,000 acres that boast amenities such as town centers and lifestyle directors.

Releasing an average of 4,000 lots a year, Johnson Development Corp. has developed 100 projects on 43,000 acres to date. In addition to Houston, the company has projects in Atlanta, Austin and Dallas-Fort Worth, the article noted.
