What was your most interesting job before going into lending?
I worked a summer job in West Texas on an oil rig cleaning frac water.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
Take my dog on a walk or go hit golf balls.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
Johnny Cash or Eddie Van Halen. I love their music & think they both have a lot of great stories.
Where is Houston’s best-kept secret?
Barbeque Inn, best chicken fried steak in town.
What do you love most about the industry?
Being able to work with people I really enjoy being with, whether that’s the client, referral partner or my coworkers.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Managing expectations & navigating tough situations. Honesty has always proven to be the best route.

Yellowstone, 1883, Ozark

The old churches downtown
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
I had a mother ask me to walk her three year old son to the bathroom at a closing!
What’s your favorite vacation spot and why?
The hill country, whether it’s on the lake outside of Austin or Fredericksburg.

Don’t be too hard on yourself, be willing to learn!
