New listings skyrocketed in Houston during the week ended Nov. 6, according to the Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS®.
Realtors entered 2,906 new listings in the MLS during the week, a 10.1% increase year over year. The number of new listings was also 15.1% higher than during the same week in 2019, before the pandemic.
Pending listings, however, saw a marginal drop year over year, with 0.8% fewer listings going under contract during the week. Closings also decreased, with 1,807 homes sold compared to 1,699 homes the year prior. That’s a decline of 6.4%.
