The Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR) added a Spanish-language property search feature to HAR.com, expanding the site’s accessibility to non-English speaking consumers.

Users will now have the ability to search for homes for sale and rent in Spanish, using all available filters. Search results, listing descriptions, listing details and agent contact information are also available in Spanish.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Spanish is the primary language for 38% of Houston residents. Furthermore, people who identify as Hispanic make up 40.2% of the Texas population.

“Houston is one of the most diverse cities in the country, and HAR believes this new feature will make the home search process more inclusive,” HAR Chair Thomas Mouton said in a press release. “With the addition of the Spanish language functionality, we aim to make the home search experience more convenient and user-friendly for the Spanish-speaking community.”
