Active single-family listings increased by 31.3% in August, rising to 30,746 homes from 23,416 a year earlier, according to the First Real Estate Snapshot of Houston (FRESH) Report from the Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR).

Meanwhile, Realtors added 14,910 properties to the Houston MLS, an 18.6% increase year over year.

The average listing price rose 1.8% to $439,321, up from $431,554 a year earlier.
