What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
Circa 1999, I’m 15, working at Six Flags at the carnival games. I dealt with ridiculous personalities, caught the attention of a stalker and learned that theme parks are not as they appear behind the scenes.

Dallas-Fort Worth

Growing up, what did you want to be?
In this order: M&M salesman, retired, POTUS, naval officer, Texas Realtor.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
Hit the neighborhood streets for a jog.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
John D. Rockefeller. He the three pillars of a legacy business.

What is Houston’s best kept secret?
The level of luxury here. People think of Houston as only oil and business, but Houston’s high-end real estate, world-class dining and private social scene rival any major city.

What do you love most about the industry?
The friendly competition, the relationships and the deals. Real estate is a game of strategy, trust and execution — winning in all three is what makes it exciting.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
The tough-love conversations with buyers if their desires aren’t in-budget.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
If you want new leads, make new friends. Focus on expanding your sphere of influence and partners.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to?
I’m an audio book lover. I’m currently listening to “The Expectation Effect” by David Robson.

What’s your favorite meal in Houston?
Anything on the menu at Uchi.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Houston?
The Menil Collection by Italian architect Renzo Piano

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
Walked into a showing with a dining room fully set — candles lit, wine poured, no one there, no explanation given.

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I have a photographic memory.

What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
My family’s ranch in The Texas Hill Country.

Build relationships, know your market, stay consistent, follow up.
