What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
I previously worked in Radiology for over a decade. I got to see and assist in lots of interesting procedures.
Where did you grow up?
Here in Houston, Texas.
Growing up, what did you want to be?
A lot of things — a firefighter, paramedic, business owner, teacher.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
When I’m feeling stressed out I like to go out on a long run.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
I would have some pizza with Selena. She’s a local iconic figure that our generation missed out on.
What is Houston’s best kept secret?
The miles of running, hiking and biking trails.
What do you love most about the industry?
I love being able to meet people in the industry that have the same drive and goals as myself. Then being able to collaborate and work with them to better serve my clients.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Managing client emotions. There can be a lot of ups and downs.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Genuinely be yourself. You will attract clients that share the same mindset, faith and interests.
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to?
I just finished up “Sell it like Serhant,” which I recommend to anyone in business.
What’s your favorite meal in Houston?
The quesadillas at a small food truck called El Taconazo in Houston. We stop by anytime we are headed to or from downtown.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Houston?
Post Houston. I love what they have done with the building — the food hall, exhibits and rooftop with awesome views.
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
Showing a home and finding someone inside camping out.
What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I found love early in life and have been married for over 18 years!
What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
Colorado in the wintertime. The abundance of snow is magical to me. I’m also the type of person that likes to stay busy, and there are plenty of activities to do.
